Recognising those that make a difference

The Annual Volunteer Awards

The annual volunteer awards aim to recognise and reward people from all walks of life, across the county, who make a difference in their local community to grassroots football.

In 2017 the Dorset County FA were extremely proud to announce that our County & Regional Young Volunteer of the Year Award winner, Lucy Cuff, was also awarded the FA Community Awards National Young Volunteer of the Year Award which was an absolutely fantastic achievement.

Lucy was invited by the FA to receive her award at the FA Community Shield which was held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 6th August. Unfortunately Lucy was away in Rwanda, Africa volunteering for a charity which empowers communities to create a brighter future for the country and people in it; through adults and young people working in collaboration. In her absence Lucy's sister stepped up to receive the Award from Ryan Giggs.
