Cheque presented to Headway UK walking footballers

Our thanks go to the Rockley Owners Association for their support

Dorset County FA warmly welcomed members from the Rockley Owners Society to the County Ground on Wednesday 17 April to present a cheque for £100 to a group of Headway UK walking footballers.

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury by providing vital support and information services. They offer a variety of activities and social events in Dorchester, Poole and Bournemouth, including Walking Football.

“The weekly Walking Football group led by Kevin Tipper has been gathering and socialising at the County Ground for several years,” said Anne-Marie Clark of the Dorset FA.

“Thank you to Rockley Owners Association for the support.”

Brain injury can impact various facets of your life such as walking, talking, thinking, and emotions. The resulting losses can be significant and long-lasting, leading to a change in both your lifestyle and identity.
