Youth Focus

Our youth focus this month is a Q&A session with James who is a member of the Dorset FA’s Referee Youth Development Group.

What do you like to do outside of football?

What is your pre-match meal?

Normally whatever my mum makes me, I don’t have much say. If I had to choose it would be Piri Piri chicken, rice and peas.

What is your biggest achievement in football so far?

Being an assistant referee in two men's semi-finals and a youth cup final in the middle.

In football where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

I hope to see myself working through the ranks in refereeing. I would also like to see myself at university studying football coaching and analysis.

If you are involved in football it is important to you know your rights, what you can do and who you can speak too.

Why do You Take Part in Football?


Here are some of the latest reasons of why children and young people take part in football:
