FC Vamos victorious in first 9v9 PowerPlay Tournament

A round-up from the first men’s 9v9 tournament delivered in partnership with Power Play

Five 9-a-side teams played an hour of football each on Saturday 14th October in the first 9v9 PowerPlay tournament at the County Ground, and AFC Vamos took home the trophy at the end of the night.

Teams played four 15-minute games, meaning each team played each other once followed by the top two placed teams facing each other in the final.

Tournament winners, AFC Vamos, have previously played in PowerPlay small sided leagues and made a return for the tournament.

Queens Park Strangers, meanwhile, were made up of individual players who wouldn't otherwise have had a team to play for. A team of strangers, who made the final conceding two late goals.

Pathetic Athletic were made up of dads who have previously played but not currently, while Borussia Teeth currently play in a PowerPlay league in Poole.

Five Cantonas are a team currently looking for a league to play in and are hoping to start in PowerPlay’s Thursday league in Hamworthy soon.
