All at Dorset County FA were saddened to hear of the decision by Hamworthy United to withdraw from the Southern League today, but can fully understand their rationale on financial grounds. 
We have been working closely with Hamworthy to replace the old stand at the ground and unfortunately there have been delays which have been completely outside of either DCFA’s or HUFC’s control. 

The latest issue was the discovery of asbestos contaminated rubble under the old stand that has led to a significant increase in the cost of the project due to specialist removal and a further delay. We will provide an update on the stand in due course.

We will continue to support HUFC going forward as they compete in the Dorset Premier League and hope they are able to return to the higher levels of the National League System in the future.
