Roger Vaughan

New Chapter Begins at Dorset FA

Roger Vaughan joins Dorset FA as Chief Executive Officer

This week, the Dorset County Football Association welcomes a new Chief Executive Officer, Roger Vaughan, to lead the development and delivery of grassroots football in the county.

Roger joins Dorset from Gloucestershire Football Association and his appointment arises through the impending retirement of Sue Hough, MBE, after 18 years in the post. The two will work together during August before Sue’s departure.

Roger brings with him many years' experience of delivering business support to County Football Associations in a variety of roles, including FA Regional and National Manager for referee development and leading on inclusion.

Dave Drew, Chairman of the Dorset FA Board of Directors, said: “Sue is synonymous with DCFA and is the only CEO the majority of grassroots football people in Dorset will have known. She has done a tremendous job in leading DCFA and her work within women’s and disability football has been recognised nationally.

"That said, nothing stands still and in Roger we are very lucky to have found a very experienced and well-respected grassroots football manager to take up the leadership role and we are all looking forward to working with him."
