European Powerchair FA Nations’ Cup

The 2019 European Powerchair FA Nations’ Cup will be held in Finland this week, where seven countries from across Europe will compete to become Europe´s number one National team and also battle it out for five places at the next FIPFA World Cup in Australia in 2021.

Having finished as runners up in the 2014 Nation’s Cup and come third in the FIPFA World Cup in 2017, England hope to take that next step and return as champions.  France, the current number one ranked team in the world will prove to be one of their toughest tests, though none of their opponents can be taken lightly.

All of England’s matches will be streamed live and can be watched at https://europeanpfa.com/, so please tune in and cheer on the team.  The sport is fantastic to watch and showcases the incredible talent of some players who are not yet household names. The schedule for their games will be as follows:

  • Thursday 23rd May

08:00 England v Austria

11:45 Northern Ireland v England

  • Friday 24th May

07:15 Finland v England

13:30 England v France

  • Saturday 25th May

09:45 Denmark v England

13:30 England v Ireland

The semi-finals and final, along with placing fixtures, will all be taking place on Sunday 26th May from 07:15.
