Dorset has the best beaches in the Country and as a result is in the unique position to offer this fantastic form of the game both in a recreational and competitive form. The development of the sport is in its infancy, however is sure to flourish in the coming years with the possibility of it being included as an Olympic Sport in 2016. Currently there is a number of opportunity and activities within the County as detailed below.

Dorset FA Beach Soccer Cup

Dorset FA run a successful annual Beach Soccer Cup open to entries for adult male and female teams. In 2016 the Beach Soccer Cup will be taking place on Sunday 12th June. To register your interest to enter a team please email Justine Mosley at

Poole Beach Soccer Pitches
Poole has two permanent Beach Soccer pitches, situated on the sand between Canford Cliffs and Branksome Chine which are free for anyone to use. Nets and lines are also available from the beach office (a refundable deposit is required). If you wish to book either of the pitches please contact the beach office on 01202 261370.

England Beach Soccer
With the facilities and support now available in the County, both the England Men’s and Women’s Beach Soccer team are based in Poole, training around twice a month throughout their season. For more information please visit

Weymouth Events
In partnership with Weymouth & Portland Borough Council, Dorset FA run a number of ad hoc beach tournaments for boys, girls and women on Weymouth Beach during the summer – details of which will be published on the News Section of the website when available.
