Over 100 in attendance at club assistant referee workshop
On Wednesday 24th January 2024, the Dorset Youth League in conjunction with Dorset FA ran a club assistant referee workshop at Blandford School.
This allowed clubs the opportunity to send their officials along to learn about the role of the club assistant referee and gain a greater understanding around the duties and the laws of the game.
Delivered by Dorset FA’s Referee Development Officer, Alex James, 25 clubs were represented at the event, with a total of 108 attendees.
One attendee said: "The event was very informative, educational and the people running the course were friendly, engaging and very precise in the messages they were delivering. Our club assistant now feels better equipped to run our line on a weekly basis."
