SUNSEEKER INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS WITH

DORSET COUNTY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

Sunseeker International, headquartered in Poole, Dorset, has announced an exciting new, local partnership with Dorset County Football Association (Dorset FA), the governing body for football across Dorset. This will see Sunseeker become the official sponsor for three years, with the Dorset headquarters and football ground in Blandford Close, Hamworthy, being renamed ‘The Sunseeker International County Ground’, and the boys’ youth county cup competitions now being named ‘The Sunseeker Apprenticeships County Cup’.

To celebrate the grassroots partnership, Sunseeker and Dorset FA are hosting a launch event at The Sunseeker International County Ground on Wednesday 16th March which is open to all Sunseeker employees, their families, and the general public. The event promises to be lots of fun and will include a festival of three showcase matches, including youth and first teams of highly ranked Dorset Premier League teams from 6:00pm. There will be entertainment and catering, half time activities and a dedicated Sunseeker Careers stand with representatives available to discuss career pathways for 2022-2023.

The Dorset FA is committed to ensuring the future development of football within Dorset. It has over 870 teams competing in a variety of leagues, cup competitions and tournaments across the county and offers coaching and volunteer pathways for anyone to get involved.

Commenting on the partnership, Steve Timms, Production Director at Sunseeker International, commented: “Supporting our local community is important to us and we know that many of our employee’s family members play for these local teams. We felt it was a great fit for the brand, as well as a way for us to support mental and physical health and promote the benefits of sport. We are delighted that the home of Dorset football will sport Sunseeker’s name and look forward to a great relationship with many exciting events and activities for our team and everyone across Dorset to enjoy.”

Sue Hough MBE, Chief Executive at the Dorset County Football Association, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with such an iconic local brand and are looking forward to working with Sunseeker over the next three years, to develop our teams and enjoy the fantastic football we have across Dorset.”

Dorset FA is the governing body for football in Dorset and has served the Dorset community since 1887.
