WITHOUT PLAYERS AND VOLUNTEERS FOOTBALL WOULDN'T HAPPEN

Dorset FA recognises that volunteers form the backbone of football in this country, and play a vital role in helping to meet our objectives of achieving the highest levels of participation in the world.

Volunteers make a huge contribution to the success and sustainability of your club or league, and the real success story is when the volunteers enjoy their role in the club and fulfil it to the best of their potential.

Rewarding volunteers for their hard work is also key, not only to retaining the services of hard working volunteers, but also to help raise the profile of the incredible work they're doing within your club.

The volunteer football workforce in England is the best in the world...and we're proud that Dorset has grassroots heroes across the county giving their time, passion and commitment to making football available for all.

Volunteer OPPORTUNITIES IN DORSET

(Posted 26th May 2021) MANAGER & COACH REQUIRED. Longfleet FC are looking for a Manager and a Coach to run our established ladies team.

This team have, after a great season and winning the Dorset womens' Recreational League, sadly have to say goodbye to their manager who will be leaving in June.

The team is a friendly, dedicated team of 24 women who just want to play football. Their ages range from 17 - 50+, all have their own individual strengths and abilities as well as commitments of work and family, hence why they prefer the Recreational League.

They train on a Wednesday evening during summer at Branksome Recreation Ground and on a Thursday in winter at Dorset FA County Ground, with matches generally being once a month on a Sunday.

The proposed volunteer would ideally have a Level 1 in Coaching, although not essential as the club would put you through the training programme, they must be able to commit to this team for training and on the Sundays that they have matches, but above all, they must be understanding of the reason why these women just want to be able to play football in a friendly environment.

If you think this could be for you, please contact the Club Secretary, Dee Cooper at dcooper.longfleetyfc@gmail.com or mobile: 07536 071320.

(Posted 28th April 2021) Wool & Winfrith are looking to recruit a new Chairman and Club Secretary.

If you would be interested or would like to find out more about either role please email  rebeccacady123@aol.co.uk or call 07720159822.
