Anti-Bullying Month is an annual event which this year runs from the 16-20 November 2015. This years theme is Make a NOISE about bullying. As in previous years The FA is keen to support this week of action and is asking for your help to do this.
Bullying thrives in a culture of silence and fear – and we know that if left unchecked it can have a significant impact on mental health - even into adulthood. The FA and Anti-Bullying Alliance want to empower children to speak out, to equip those working with them to be more aware of bullying when it happens and to help parents and carers have conversations with their children about bullying – both as a way of preventing bullying, and to help children who are worried about bullying.
Within football we encourage all of our affiliated clubs to sign up to The FA’s comprehensive Anti -Bullying Policy which provide clubs with downloadable a template policy and also provides guidance on:
- Signs and indicators of Bullying.
- Types of abuse including Discrimination and Online Bullying
- Organisations that can provide help and support on Bullying to both parents and young people
