Dorset FA Youth Leadership Group help raise funds

£1,000 raised for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance

Dorset County FA’s Youth Leadership Group supported our Women’s Euro’s Festivals in June 2022, running a tombola and sweet stall to raise funds for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA). The festivals took place over two weekends, where 87 teams took part, with many getting into the spirit of the Women’s Euros with face painting, flags and a fantastic variety of outfits!

Over the four days, our Youth Leadership raised £432.93 for DSAA. Dorset County Football Association has decided to match fund the amount and round it up to a total donation of £1,000.

Once again, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported our festivals and helped raise a fantastic amount for our partner charity.  We’d also like to thank all the amazing companies and local people who donated prizes for the tombola.

A final thank you to our fantastic Youth Leadership Group members; Savannah, Ryan, Mia and Will.

In addition to this the partnership between Dorset County FA and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance will be continuing until the end of the 2023/24 season, extending our partnership for a further two seasons.  They will remain as the Senior Trophy partner, keeping the naming rights for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Senior Trophy, which we are delighted to be able to continue.

Leanne Colverson, DSAA Community Fundraising Officer said: “We are incredibly grateful to Dorset County FA for their generous donation of £1,000. Our thanks go to everyone who supported the festival events and to the Association for kindly matching the amount raised. We’ve loved working with Dorset County FA over the past year and we are absolutely delighted that our partnership is being extended for another two years.”
