Wimborne Town FC Women top the table for August

August consisted of four gameweeks and marked the first month of the new Dorset Fantasy Football League. Of the teams who have chosen to take part so far, it is Wimborne Town FC Women who have come out on top, meaning they enter the draw for a £100 kit voucher at the end of the season and get a tailored session from Dorset FA’s Football Development Activator.

Wimborne Town FC Women are a newly established team for the 2019/20 season, competing in the Dorset Women’s League. They pride themselves on their core values of unity, togetherness and enjoyment, boasting a squad that ranges in age from 17 to 48 and includes players who are brand new to the game as well as some experienced heads who’ve played at a higher level.  Since their formation they have taken part in several friendly fixtures to prepare for the league and achieved a fantastic win in the their first ever match together, promising a thrilling season ahead.
