The FA Peoples Cup Comes to Dorset

Football Success with the FA People's Cup

The weekend of 23rd – 25th February 2018 saw The FA People’s Cup return to Dorset for the second year running.

53 teams competed over the weekend across the eight different categories: Walking Football, Adult Women’s, Vets Men’s, Under 16 Boys, Under 14 Girls, Under 16 Girls, Adult Disability and Youth Disability.

The FA People’s Cup is a national competition offering teams the chance to compete in local area events, feeding into regional semi-finals and the national finals at the home of English football, St George’s Park. This year's competition will see over 45,000 players take part in 18 different categories as thye all start thier People's Cup journey at over 270 different venues.

The events were hosted between The County Ground, Hamworthy and Bournemouth University. Some fantastic football was played, with highly competitive games across all the competing groups.

A Walking Football team captain commented:

“Brilliant day yesterday (freezing though).Proud performance from our team.”

Another team contacted us to say:

“Thanks for a great event on Saturday. We really enjoyed taking part.”
