60 girls attended the morning festival with The FA, Skills Coaches and programme funder SSE bloggers in attendance. The girls took part in skills activities and small sided games before each player received a medal and other goodies given away including FA Lionesses water bottles and hairbands.

The Wildcats Clubs are in place to offer girls aged 5 – 11 the opportunity to play football in a fun and safe environment offering the girls the chance to make friends while being active. They have proved successful in attracting 82 girls into playing football, many for the very first time!

Dorset FA would like to thank partner clubs Blandford United Youth, Poole Town Youth and Shaftesbury Rockies for all their hard work and efforts in making the Wildcats Clubs such a success.

Looking ahead to the coming football season the 3 clubs are hoping to offer ongoing girls football through the continuation of the weekly Wildcats Club sessions and/or the development of new girls only teams within their clubs.
