What kind of referee do you want to be?
I want to referee at the highest level possible, even Wembley:
For those individuals who wish to scale the footballing heights and to Referee at national level or even international level the support mechanism is already in place to guide and support Referees all the way to their ultimate goal.
I want to referee at county level:
Being involved in county football can be both challenging and rewarding and there is now a county wide network of coaches and mentors who are specifically trained to guide and support new Referees as they take their first steps into county football, there are many opportunities refereeing within the county system. You may even want to progress further than you first thought and work your way through onto the Wessex or Western League and Referee county cup finals.
I want to referee at my club:
Possibly the most rewarding aspect of becoming a Referee is to have the opportunity to referee at youth level.
In the past those Referees who have chosen this particular route have not been offered the support they should have expected. However within the last year there has been a dramatic change in the extra training and education opportunities available to all referees within the youth leagues.
