Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
The majority of the Course is Tutor led, but some of the modules will be carried out in your own time - these include Football Administration, Player & Coach Development, Laws of the Game, Soccer Parent and with the revised resources for the first time the award incorporates the FA's Long Term Player Development philosophies, crucial for all grassroots Coaches.
The course is split into two parts: an Internal and an Independent Assessment. Success in both sections will give you the 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football; this will enable you to work as an assistant to a qualified coach. At the conclusion of the award, in-service training opportunities will be highlighted, along with further awards, including: officiating, administration and sports therapy, as well as further progression in coaching.
The Course also includes modules on FA Emergency Aid and the FA Safeguarding Children Workshop; both of which are mandatory for all FA Coaching Qualifications.

Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
What is the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football?
This award replaced the FA Coaching Certificate in 2001 and is the award required in order to qualify as Football Association Coach of young players, with UEFA certification.
