The new Education Courses on offer are as follows:
Key Stage 2 Curriculum (6 hours)
The course offers support to teachers and other football providers (AOTTS, Coaches) providing football as part of the National Curriculum. Enables students on the course to understand the key strands of the National Curriculum and apply them in a practical setting to ensure high quality delivery within physical education.
Out of School Hours Learning (4 hours)
Course to support teachers and coaches to plan and deliver OSHL/School Club Link programmes to enage the 5-11 age group.
JFO Teachers (6 hours)
For teachers of children aged 14-19 who wish to deliver the FA Junior Football Organisers Course to their own students. The course is both practical and theory based. The course will qualify teachers to deliver the FA Junior Football Organisers course to students in secondary schools aged 14-16, who in turn gain a recognised qualification following their course of training with the teacher.
JFO Student (6 hours)
Course to train students aged 14 - 19years to be Young Leaders, engaging in football activity. Supports the FA Step into Sport programme.
Beginners Guide to Coaching Disabled Footballers (4 hours)
For teachers working in special or mainstream education, coaches or young leaders, the course offers ideas on practical delivery and the inclusion spectrum supporting club links programmes and the competition framework.
Beginners Guide to Futsal (3 hours)
Course to support teachers, young leaders or coaches in the basic introduction of the game of Futsal.
Football Mentor (6 hours)
Guidance for secondary school teachers providing support to other teachers (secondary or primary) to develop football in their school either in or out of the curriculum.
Mentoring Young Leaders (3 hours)
For teachers, further education staff and Charter Standard Club coaches, the course provides guidance to those responsible for mentoring and supporting young leaders as part of The FA Step Into Sport.
Working with teams (6 hours)
For primary or non specialist Secondary teachers, Level 1 coaches and young leaders. The course provides practical ideas on how to run teams including work around team talks, team philosophy and formations. The course supports the competition programme/framework.
Handling and movement (3 hours)
For primary school teachers, Level 1 coaches and young leaders the course provides practical ideas to develop movement and handling skills that can be used as an introduction to goalkeeping and build on fundamental movement skills.
