The main source of funding as regards grass roots football is from the Football Foundation. This organisation is financed by the FA, DCMS, Sport England and the Premier League.
The first stage is to complete the Football Foundations ‘Pre-application Information Forms’ (FDPS 1 & 2), these can be downloaded by clicking on the related documents section on the right of the page:
The forms are self explanatory but some early questions you should be considering are:
• Who is the landowner?
• Who will it benefit?
• When are you looking to do it?
• Why are you looking to do it?
• How much will it cost?
• What funding do you have in place or has been identified?
• What are the football development outcomes?
Once these forms have been completed they should be returned to the County Development Manager Gary Knight at gary.knight@dorsetfa.com or by post to the County Office.
