British Sign Language for Football
Duration of Course: 6 Hours
Cost of Course: £10
The course is designed to provide football coaches and teachers with the appropriate knowledge to work and communicate with individuals who are profoundly deaf or hearing impaired.
The course lasts for six hours and will cover a range of topics/areas including;
- Deaf Awareness
- Basic Communication in Sign Language
- Finger-spelling
- Numbers/Dates/Times
- Football roles and responsibilities
- Positions and Formations
- Skills/Training/Match Vocabulary

FA Disability Equality Workshop
Duration of Course: 3 Hours
Cost of Course: £5
This workshop is aimed at anyone involved in football at any level; volunteers, parents, coaches, referees, managers and players. The fun and enjoyment of football should be accessible to everyone and that means there's a responsibility of your football club or organisation to open its doors.
The workshop is interactive and informal and tutors draw on participant's experiences and knowledge aswell as developing learning through small group activities and in presentations, to provide examples of good practice and help/guidance to ensure your club offers the best possible experience to all of its members.

FA Coaching Disabled Footballers
Duration of Course: 6 Hours
Minimum Age: 16 Years
Cost of Course: £25 Pre-Requisites: Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
The Course is designed to provide football coaches and teachers with ideas and practices for the inclusion of disabled players in football sessions within mainstream or impairment specific sessions. The Course is for candidates over the age of 16 years, that have already achieved the 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football.
The Course lasts for six hours and covers both theory and practical elements; by the end of the Course each participant should be able to meet the following outcomes:
- Apply and extend your existing coaching skills and experience to meet the needs of players with a range of impairments.
- Establish basic communication skills for coaching disabled footballers.
- Use appropriate terminology.
- Identify appropriate safety and medical considerations.
- Plan a wide range of coaching sessions for disabled footballers.
- Using the Inclusion Spectrum, plan your coaching sessions to include disabled players or provide alternative appropriate opportunities.
- Understand the player pathways available for disabled players including the appropriate structures for competition.
