The aim of the Centre of Excellence is to provide promising male players with a disability between the ages of 13 and 17 (birth date after 31 August 1990 and before 31 August 1994); the best possible facilities and coaching to assist in their personal development towards football excellence.

There is still an opportunity for players to be recommended by their school, club or coach as players who demonstrate a good level of skill and commitment to football; to be eligible for a place at the Centre selected players will need to attend assessment trials.
Last Season, Dorset FA were thrilled to have two players from the Centre of Excellence attend trials for ENGLAND in the Learning Disability and Cerebral Palsy Squads. These players were fully equipped in England gear throughout the weekend and were coached by the England Coaches with access to experts in Sports Science, Nutrition and Physiotherapy. It was a memorable weekend for both these players with one player quoting “It was the best weekend of my life!”.
