WELFARE OFFICER WORKSHOP (3 hours)

PRE-REQUISITES
All candidates must hold an ACCEPTED FA CRB check, and have completed the Safeguarding Children Workshop. (Formerly Child Protection and Best Practise Workshop)
Open to Club Welfare Officers.

WORKSHOP OUTCOMES
By the end of this 3 hour course, the candidate will be able to;

- Understand what needs to be functioning in a club/league in order to demonstrate best practise in relation to Safeguarding
- Have a clear understanding of the Club Welfare Officer’s roles and responsibilities.
- Understand about the Safeguarding support network
- Act upon concerns of poor practise, and pass on concerns of abuse (in or outside of football)
- Understand the CRB process in order to maintain high standards of CRB checking at a club level.

£25 for all clubs

VENUE - DCFA Offices  
TIME - 18.30-21.30


In order to affiliate for season 2010/2011 it will be mandatory for all Youth Clubs, (including U18’s teams) to have an appointed Welfare Officer who has an ACCEPTED FA CRB check, and completed the Safeguarding Children AND Welfare Officer Workshops.
