FA Introduction into Age Appropriate Coaching

The FA Learning Introductory Module – Age Appropriate Coaching is a vocational course that provides you with an opportunity to develop an awareness of both the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching young players, specifically in the 5-11 age group.

The FA Learning Introductory Module, Age Appropriate Coaching has been developed by FA Learning using expertise from a variety of FA staff and experienced coaches.

On successful completion of the FALAAC, you should be able to:
 Define movement skills incorporating Agility, Balance & Co-ordination and their relevance to the game
 Explain & demonstrate how technique can be used to help players perform a skill
 Demonstrate how to use and develop Level 1 games to grow players understanding of football and how we as coaches can manage difference in our groups
 Show how to modify Level 1 games to have an effect upon an individuals technical needs
 Explain how we all learn differently and begin to include this knowledge within a coaching session
 Gain an understanding of The FA Tesco Skills Programme
 Signpost where you can go next on your coaching pathway

The Course is being offered for a fee of only £20 per candidate and will take place on the following:

  • Tuesday 23 & Tuesday 30 September 2008 (6.30pm - 9.30pm) - Poole
  • Saturday 17 January 2009 (10am - 5pm) - Blandford

The only pre-requisite required is that all candidates are over the age of 16 years. If you would like to attend, please complete and return an application form (with payment) ASAP.
