FA Youth Award - Module 1 'Developing the Environment'

This brand new qualification forms the first part of the FA Youth Award and is aimed at adult coaches and youth coaches working with young players. Module 1 will look specifically at developing the right environment for all young players to learn and develop.

Module 1 is a 32-hour Course and is non-assessed. The focus is on developing the player and how best to create and maintain the right environment for development. This module is one of 3 that will lead to achieving the FA Youth Award.

The outcomes of Module 1 are as follows:
 Understand how to manage players motivation and self-esteem in positive and appropriate ways
 Recognise how your players learn and encourage you to focus on supporting them to develop maximally
 Importantly, support you to manage your players mistakes, encouraging a ‘can do’ approach from your players
 Experience a series of new game related exercises that support your players to develop technique and apply skill in environments where they make decisions

The Course is being offered for a fee of £120 (£100 for Coaches Association members and Charter Standard Clubs) per candidate and will take place on the following:

Poole 
1 - Saturday 13 March & Sunday 14 March 2010, and Saturday 27 March & Sunday 28 March 2010 
(9.00am - 5.00pm)

TBC
2 - Friday 12 November to Monday 15 November 2010 (9.00am - 5.00pm)

Candidates must hold one of the following: Level 1 CCF/Teaching Qualification or Level 2 or Level 3 CCF and have attended the Age Appropriate Module.
